How to choose and register a domain
A domain is your business address on the internet (for example, 1it.pro). It is your intellectual property, so it should be set up correctly from day one.
1. Where do we recommend buying domains?
We recommend using proven registrars with transparent pricing and strong protection:
- Namecheap — a global standard, strong support, and free Domain Privacy protection.
- Cloudflare — sells domains at cost price (best long-term value).
- Cyber_folks / OVH — if you need a
.pldomain.
2. The main rules when choosing a name
- Short: The shorter, the better (ideally 1–2 words).
- Clear: Avoid letter combinations that are hard to spell out over the phone.
- Extension (TLD): For international business, choose
.com. For local business in Poland, choose.pl.
3. Most important: security
Always register the domain using your own personal email or your company’s official email. Never let third-party developers register a domain on their personal accounts — that removes your legal control over the name.
What should you do after purchase? Just send us access to the account through Vaultwarden, and we will configure the DNS records for your site.
You do not need to set up server records yourself. Just pass us access through a secure vault (for example, Bitwarden), and we will configure:
- A records (connection to the Hetzner server);
- MX records (mail delivery);
- TXT records (service verification).
